Mandate

How HR reports
The Registrar is the principal administrative officer. The Human Resources Directorate sits in the Registrar's line. The Conditions of Service routes sick leave, maternity, and re-examination through the Registrar and the Directorate.

Bodies that decide
- Council, the highest body, and the Academic Board, named here for the governance line only.
- University Appointments and Promotions (Statutes §29).
- The Faculty or School Appointments and Promotions Committee (Statutes §31). Recruitment and promotion record that committee's decision. They do not replace it.
- The Disciplinary Committee (Statutes §65), which a case escalates to.
